The Meeting :: Plan Your Life Around It | Sundays August 22 - September 19
 When you raised your hand to accept Jesus into your life, the first thing people probably wanted to do is take you to The Meeting – otherwise known as Sunday morning service.  Rarely, however, does anyone sit down with you and explain what The Meeting is all about.  Most of us figure it out by observation and then formulate our own ideas on what should or should not be happening in this room each week.  Rarely, if ever, do we have conversations on whether these ideas and opinions are the right ones.

The Meeting is one of the most difficult and challenging aspects of the pastorate because the expectations are so varied and so strong.  “It’s all about the preaching.”  “It’s all about the worship.”  “It’s all about spiritual gifts like prophesy and tongues.”  “I don’t like the announcements in the middle except when I need one for my ministry.”  “We need more prayer time.”  “We need more choir numbers.”  “Where are the dramas and videos?”  “Why are the kids here?”  “We don’t do communion that way I like it?”  “The services go to long.”  You get the point.

During this five week sermon series, we will examine the Scriptures together to address this crucial topic about The Meeting.  We will look at one of the first corporate gatherings in the Bible, the gathering at Mount Sinai, to explore the priority and the purpose of The Meeting.

Come worship as a family through a time of sharing, caring, communion!  Every last Sunday of the month, we will be coming together to worship in a special service designed for the whole family...yours, and ours as a church body.  Children 5 years and older will join us in the Sanctuary during the 8:30 & 10:30 AM worship services.
