Don Dickinson
Pastor of Sports and Active Adults

Don Dickinson leads in several areas of ministry at Valley Christian Center. He functions as the Athletic Director for Valley Christian Jr. High and High School, the Director of Sports Ministries for the church, and he has Pastoral oversite of our ministry to Seniors. This last year Don celebrated his 25th anniversary of employment at Valley Christian. Don graduated from Central Bible College, Springfield, Missouri, in 1980. Don is described as a generous and gracious leader with heart for people and a deep love for God He and Judy have two daughters and two sons. His hobbies include jogging and gardening.

Alan Harrer
Media Ministry Director

Mr. Harrer left the cold winters of Minnesota to join the staff of VCC in 1986. Serving as our media director, he oversees all audio and video productions. He and his wife, Pat, have two sons, Paul and Justin. Alan earned his B.S. from San Diego State University. A die-hard Twins fan, he also enjoys golf, woodworking and baseball cards.

Eric Lura
Minister of Pastoral Care

Eric Lura joined the staff at VCC in May of 2005 as the Associate Pastor of Pastoral Care. For the past 11 years he has been in ministry in the Sacramento area. Eric has experience with a variety of ministries, including Children, Young Adults, Adult Christian Education, Worship and Missions. Eric was raised in San Ramon, and served as a ministry intern in 1990 at Valley Christian Center before going to Bethany College. He graduated with a B.A. in Church Leadership in 1994. He met his wife, Holly, while at Bethany and they married in 1994. They have two boys, David, 11 and Steven, 8.

Jorge Marsal
Pastor of Worship and Fine Arts

Jorge F. Marsal joined VCC in 2003, as Worship Arts Pastor. Jorge studied music at Miami Dade Jr. College, the University of Miami, and Berklee College of Music. Jorge earned his Ministerial Studies Diploma from Trinity Bible Institute. Pastor Jorge has served in music and arts ministries for the past 28 years as well as being part of various secular and sacred musical groups as an instrumentalist (trombone, flute and percussion) and a vocalist. He has also produced and arranged several albums and jingle projects, two Christmas CD projects and has produced, directed and written major musical and theatrical presentations. He is also a licensed pyro-technician. Jorge and his wife Shirley, a wonderful singer herself, along with their 18-year-old son, Nicholas (Nico), a great "I Love Lucy" fan, invite you to worship with us in spirit and truth.

Erik Hansen
Children's Pastor

Born in the Bay Area, Erik has serving in ministry for the past 12 years. He and his wife Debbie have been married for 18 years and have two beautiful daughters, Alycia 16 and Rebecca 13. Erik has served as Youth Pastor, Music Pastor as well as assisting in the start up of a Christian school. Erik has been responsible for the elementary, middle and high school chapels as well as teaching drama and worship classes for the past 6 years and loves equipping kids for ministry! Erik has experience in writing and directing large dramas, musicals and other outreach events as well as audio and video production. Erik and his family have a heart and passion to serve the kingdom of God and come along side families to see them walk in the plan that God has for them and their children.

Karl Hus
Pastor of Student Ministries

Karl Hus joined VCC in August of 2006. He and his wife, Sherry, and their 4 children, relocated here from Missouri. Karl’s responsibilities and past experiences have included Student Ministries (Jr./Sr. High School, and College) in both developing and continuing existing programs since 1989. Programs have included discipleship and group building, building strength and unity in groups, outreach, and leadership training. Karl has also leading and facilitating a setup crew (portable church) and has done graphic artwork for special events and video productions. He is glad to be returning to California; he graduated from both Concord Valley High School and Bethany Bible College.

Cassie Tundag
Director of VCC Women

Cassie Tundag joined the VCC Pastoral staff in May of 2008 as Director of Women’s Ministry. She has been a member of VCC since 2004, and previously served as Ministry Assistant to Student Ministry and Women’s Ministry. Born and raised in Southern Idaho, Cassie left to attend Northwest University in Kirkland, WA, graduating in 2001 with a B.A. in Psychology. She has had the wonderful opportunity to travel and serve people in various places and stages of life. She has worked with teenagers, college students, young adults, and women as well as traveled on mission trips to Israel, Mexico, Hollywood, and New Orleans. She enjoys traveling, spending time with people, reading, and being an Auntie.
