The Practice of godliness  by Jerry Bridges

What Makes Someone Godly?
Scripture tells us that God has given us “everything we need for life and godliness.”  But what makes a Christian godly? In The Practice of Godliness, Jerry Brides examines what it means to grow in Christian character and helps us establish the foundation upon which that character is built.  Bridges opens our eyes to see how character formation affects the way we relate to God, to ourselves, and to others.
In order to live godly lives, we need an inward foundation of God-centeredness.  This book will help you establish that foundation ad then build an outward structure of godlikeness.
When: Tuesdays, Beginning September 14, 7:00 PM
Where: Dublin
Facilitated by: Mae Evans
Fee: $17

Heaven by Randy Alcorn

What will heaven be like?  Randy Alcorn presents a thoroughly biblical answer, based on years of careful study, presented in an engaging, reader-friendly style. His conclusions will surprise readers and stretch their thinking about this important subject.  It is only natural to ask questions about heaven.  However, our understanding of heaven is often limited to a few half-forgotten Sunday school lessons and the insubstantial images provided by popular movies and T.V.  Fortunately, in Heaven Alcorn addresses our most serious questions, including the nature of judgment, and answers a few of our less serious questions as well including the accessibility of café mochas.  We will develop a deeper understanding of our eternal destination and will find the courage to strive for heaven while we’re living on earth.
