This class is designed to be a place where your story can be heard by the leadership of VCC and where you can hear the story of VCC. In our conversation, you will be introduced to the history, vision, ministries and beliefs of VCC, as well as learn the process of becoming a member. We are here to help you discern God’s call for your life, so ask lots of questions. It helps us serve you.

What is the purpose of this class? In order to fully step into the story God has for your life, some areas of your life need to be rewired. Maybe you already have some foundation laid for living a Christ-centered life, but we will approach this class with no assumptions. Throughout this portion of LifeScript you will be introduced to several areas of the Bible and Christian life that we, at VCC, feel are important to laying a strong foundation in your faith. Topics include: Spiritual Practices, the Family Commission, and Generosity.

What is the purpose of this class? Learning who we are deep inside doesn’t just come to us naturally; we may have to dig and reflect a little. This is your opportunity to do exactly that! Throughout the next four weeks you will have the opportunity to reflect, assess, and hopefully learn some things about yourself that you didn’t necessarily realize before. Don’t worry, there probably won’t be any huge new revelations, but you may be able to more clearly articulate some things about yourself after this class. The different areas that we will go over in this class are Spiritual Gifts, Passions, Abilities, Strengths, and Experiences. Each area will have some type of assessment or reflection opportunity for you to work through.

Whom shall you tell the Good News? Well, the short answer might be: “Share the Good News with everyone you meet.” However that presents some interesting challenges right away, doesn’t it? Many questions spring to mind: What do I say? How do I work that into a conversation? How do I get started? What if people get mad and tell me to get lost! What if they want to argue? What if they laugh at me? What if they ask questions and I don’t know the answers?... I barely know anything about the Bible, how can I teach anybody anything??? After completing this class, you will walk away with the tools needed to do so.
