Several reasons may prompt students to take AP Exams - the challenge, the sense of accomplishment, the strengthening of college and scholarship applications, and time and money saved.  A student who earns score of 3 or better on an AP exam is generally considered qualified to receive credit for the equivalent course at one of the 2,900 colleges and universities that give credit for AP Exams.

AP Exams are offered in the following subject areas:  French Language, French Literature, Spanish Language, Spanish Literature, German Language, English Language, English Literature, Statistics, Calculus AB, United States History, Art History, Studio Art, Biology, Physics B, Physics C, Government & Politics:  United States*, Government & Politics:  Comparative*, European History*, Economics:  Macro*, Economics:  Micro*, Latin:  Vergil*, Latin Literature*, Japanese Language*, Computer Science A*, Computer Science AB*, Calculus BC*, Psychology*, Chemistry*, Music Theory*.

*Valley Christian High School does not at this time offer classes that prepare students for AP exams in these subject areas.  However, we are authorized to administer the tests if a student has prepared in some other way.  For example, a student who has studied music privately for a number of years might very well be qualified for the Music Theory Exam.
