Every follower of Christ is expected to lead in some capacity; whether in school, family, a corporation, sports team or personal pursuits, leadership skills are critical to success. Scripture is filled with example after example of those who have already blazed trails using various leadership styles.


To develop leadership in our students, we offer Christian Leadership class in Junior High and Chapel Leadership class in Senior High. These courses  allow students opportunities to study Old and New Testament leaders as well as to give them a hands-on opportunity to lead by brainstorming, planning and implementing a weekly Chapel program for the Junior and Senior High Schools and special chapels for the pre-school.

Senior High  Chapel Leadership Class
Chapel Leadership is a two semester class that requires the interested student to have an interview and supply references in order to be selected by a faculty panel. The function of the class is to design and implement chapel on a weekly basis. The program is student run with a faculty member overseeing, instructing and assessing the student’s involvement and effectiveness.

Course Content
This course will provide a moderately thorough analysis of the basic principles of leadership as seen in the Old and New Testaments, focusing on the servant-leader Jesus Christ. A ‘Jesus Style Leadership’ Bible study, as well as constant preparation and evaluation of the weekly Chapel program, will be the primary content of the course.
