John holds a Bachelor’s Degree in History from the University of Massachusetts at Boston and a Master’s of Education from Harvard University, where he was also certified as a HS History teacher. He has held key leadership positions in both business and education over the last 20 years. Most notably, he was the Principal of a Christian High School in Boston, the Major Account Director for an international staffing firm and the Associate Dean of an Assemblies of God University. He is a published author and motivational speaker. He is competent in Spanish and fluent in Portuguese. He has 2 sons in college, Marcel, who is a sophomore at Harvard, and Lyle, who is a junior at Boston University.

Larry Lopez is a graduate of San Diego State University where he received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Applied Geography. He currently attends Chapman University for his Masters of Education in Leadership and Administration. Larry has been involved in ministry to junior high and high school students since 1985, as a youth pastor, teacher and administrator. Prior to coming to Valley Christian Schools, he spent 15 years as a science, Bible and PE teacher along with being the administrator of a Christian school in the area. His passion for excellence is demonstrated through his leadership and the development of his teaching team. Larry is the co-director of Shaker’s Basketball Camp in Fremont that is in its 13th year. Athletics has always been a part of his life whether playing on a collegiate/semi-professional level or in city leagues. Larry, his wife and 3 children have been actively involved in the Bay Area community for the past 16 years.

Aaron serves as the Dean of Valley Christian Junior/Senior High School and Interim Youth Pastor at VCC. Aaron holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Christian Education from the Stockton School of Theology and a Master’s Degree in Christian Theology at Bible Based School of Theology in Stockton. Aaron has served in the ministry as a Youth Pastor for the past four years and has taught Bible at Valley Christian Schools and various Bible studies and classes within the church. Aaron has always had a passion for God and the youth; he considers it a privilege to have the opportunity to introduce the love of Christ into the lives of our future leaders and ignite a fire in them for our Lord and Savior. Aaron and his wife Mia are both natives to the Bay Area; they have been blessed with two young boys, Josiah and Elijah.
